We are glad that you have decided to initiate your child into the Catholic faith. Here at St. Martin Parish, we would like to assist you in the preparation of such a beautiful sacrament. To begin the baptism preparation of your child, please follow the procedure below:
Steps for Baptism Preparation
Submit the Required Documents:
1. Parents must submit the following required paperwork.

Original Birth Certificate

Completed & Signed Godparents Certificate of Eligibility

Godparents must take the form to their parish to be signed and stamped with the church's seal.

Submit all documents above + donation 2 weeks before baptism date.

Thanksgiving Celebration
The quinceañera is a traditional celebration of life and gratitude to God on the occasion of the fifteenth birthday of a young Hispanic woman. The ritual emphasizes her passage from childhood to adulthood. The family usually requests a Mass or a blessing to be held in the Church. The rite is frequently celebrated in several American countries, including Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. This tradition is believed to come from the Meso-American tribes who celebrated rites of passage for young men and women. These practices seem to be approved by the missionaries since they are similar to Christian initiation and marriage. The quinceañera has become a widespread religious practice in many places.
It is essential to clarify that the quinceañera is NOT part of the seven sacraments of the Catholic church.
Quinceañera Celebrations at St. Martin Parish
The celebration of the quinceañera is a special time for young ladies and their families. Therefore at St. Martin we would like to offer you the best that we can in your celebration. In order to enroll in the quinceañera program you must present the following:

Baptismal Certificate of the quinceañera

First Communion Certificate of the quinceañera

The quinceañera must enroll in our Confirmation Program and/or Youth Ministry program
In order to celebrate the quinceañera at St. Martin the quinceañera must fulfill all of the above requirements.
Music
Each family is responsible to bring their choice of choir or music for the quinceañera celebration. St. Martin parish is not responsible for contacting the choir for you. Please call the parish office if you need assistance with your choir choices
Church Decorations
Families are also required to bring their own church decorations and to remove them after the celebration is over. It is not mandatory to bring decorations.
More information is available at time of registration.
Rehersals
The quinceañera and her family will be scheduled for a rehearsal a week before the celebration. It is recommended that everyone, (court , lectors, etc.), be present.
